Weston Homes Acquires Residential Opportunity In Southend For £3.25m
Bray Fox Smith has acquired a prime residential development site in Southend on behalf of Weston Homes. Essex House, a landmark 12 storey office building with sea views, has been acquired by Weston Homes for £3.25 million and will be converted to residential use through permitted development rights.
Rob Bray of Bray Fox Smith comments, “Such opportunities don’t present themselves very often and our relationship with the local agent, plus Weston Homes’ expertise in converting office buildings to residential was crucial in securing the building against keen competition.”
To be renamed Highbanks, the building will be converted into 75 one and two bedroom apartments with spectacular views across the Thames Estuary and underground car parking. Construction is expected to start during Spring/ Summer 2015. The development is also close to Weston Homes’ residential site in Sutton Road, Southend.
