Exton & Scottish Widows Sells Taplow Residential Site
Scottish Widows and Exton Estates have sold a residential development site at their eleven acre Huntercombe Park in Taplow, near Slough, to Taylor Wimpey for a price in excess of £1.5m per acre.
The 3 acre plot has planning consent for 54 one, two, three and four bedroom homes.
Following the sale, Scottish Widows and its development partner Exton Estates will focus on developing a 120,000 sq ft office scheme by junction 7 of the M4, on the remaining eight acres and is currently seeking pre-lets.
A source said the land sale will greatly underpin the price paid for the entire site and means that the scheme should be the most competitive pre-let option in the core Thames Valley.
Bray Fox Smith and Strutt & Parker advised Exton and Scottish Widows on the sale.
