Law Firm Set to Pay One of the Highest Reading Rents Ever in Deal at The Blade
Law firm Gateley is set to pay one of the highest rents ever seen in Reading, after signing up for 7,200 sq ft at The Blade.
Gateley will pay £34/sq ft to landlord Aviva Investors for space on the top floor of the building – the highest price seen in Reading for 15 years, according to the landlords.
The deal means the building, located in the town centre, is 77% let.
Gateley fought off “fierce competition” from another potential tenant to secure the space, Sim Khatkar comments; ‘this is the 4th letting achieved since taking on the instruction, now with a total of 38,000 sq ft let, it makes The Blade the most successful multi-let building in Reading with just 24,000 sq ft remaining.’
The deal allows the law firm to expand their presence within the Thames Valley.
