Office lettings bring seasonal cheer to Thames Valley market
The Thames Valley office market received an early Christmas present this week with a double letting boost in Reading.
In the larger deal online retail payment group CyberSource has leased 20,000 sq ft at Reading International Business Park near junction 11 of the M4 on the edge of the town.
CyberSource is understood to be paying in the mid £20s per sq ft on a sublease from US telecommunications company Verizon Communications.
While in town Urban Science has taken the 12th floor at Aviva Investors and PMB Holdings’ landmark tower development The Blade.
The automotive retail performance company is moving from Chertsey to take 8,200 sq ft at the 14-storey block. It is believed that Urban Science is taking a 10-year lease with a break at five paying close to the £30 per sq ft quoting rent.
