Moorpark Acquires Two Office Buildings At Doxford For £10.5M
Moorpark Capital Partners has acquired Solar House and Grayling Court at Doxford International Business Park, near Sunderland, from Northern Rock (Asset Management) Plc for £10.5 million.
James Archibald of Bray Fox Smith who advised Moorpark comments, “This is a significant deal and demonstrates a growing appetite for secure income streams in the regional office markets”. The buildings, which total 86,000 sq ft were subject to a Sale & Leaseback and are occupied by UK Asset Resolution Limited who have entered into two co terminus leases, subject to fixed increases.
One of the most strategic sites in the North of England, Doxford International Business Park is located at the intersection of the A19 and the A690 link to the A1. It comprises 1,345,488 sq ft of high specification office and commercial accommodation spread over a 125 acre (50 hectare) site. It is one of the region’s key locations for corporate HQs and currently home to over 8,000 employees. Previously a greenfield site, it was designated as an Enterprise Zone in 1990 and is a partnership between Sunderland City Council and Goodman Property.
